You can do many walks to get up here, for example from the Italian side walking up Monte Generoso or then from the Swiss side, either walking up or taking a very scenic train from Capolago trainstation or from stops along the way. We have done many different ways to get up here, we've taken the train from the swiss side but also driven up from Argegno, Lake Como through Valle Intelvi, parked close to Baita di Orimento and then walked paths up to Fiore di Pietra.... and the scenery is just breath taking <3 On clear days you can see Monte Rosa and her Alp friends, Lugano lake and beyond. Stunning!
Everytime we've come up here the self-service restaurant has had one or two vegan options, on this day it was a vegan minestrone soup and also vegan nuggets, I went for the soup, so GOOD <3 Lots of veggies and beans in it...fresh and tasty!
